Miami Children's Health System to rebrand as Nicklaus Children's Health System

Effective Nov. 1, Miami Children's Health System will rebrand as Nicklaus Children's Health System to align its identity with its flagship hospital, Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami.

The name change will impact the nonprofit hospital, outpatient centers, a research institute, the health system's fundraising arm and an employed physician practice.

Miami Children's flagship hospital was named Nicklaus Children's Hospital in 2015, following a $60 million donation from the foundation established by professional golfer Jack Nicklaus and his wife Barbara.

In addition to aligning the system with its flagship hospital, the name change will recognize and honor Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation's continued support.

"As an extension of our appreciation for the generosity and unwavering support of Jack and Barbara and their Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation, we are proud to further cement the legacy of these exceptional philanthropists who are so committed to offering a better future for children everywhere," said Narendra Kini, MD, CEO of the soon-to-be Nicklaus Children's Health System. "The new name will support our leadership as a global resource for children and families."
