Here are three things to know:

1. The health system is sponsoring Inner City Capital Connections, a program launched by the nonprofit Initiative for a Competitive Inner City in 2005.

2. As part of the program, which is in its third consecutive year, business owners will undergo a 40-hour business training course comprising three to six months of seminars, webinars, and mentor meetings with banking and consulting firms.

3. The deadline for applications into the program is July 24, with the opening seminar of the program scheduled to take place Aug. 1.
