JAMA launches site for healthcare policy

Emily Rappleye -

JAMA Network, the organization that runs JAMA and the American Medical Association's other publications, launched JAMA Health Forum, which will provide health policy content from across the network.

Topics covered range from measles vaccination data to state opioid policies. A JAMA editorial called the channel "an authoritative source of information on timely and important topics related to healthcare policies, strategies and systems," according to an AMA announcement.

It will be edited by John Ayanian, MD, who is a professor and the director of the Institute for Healthcare Policy at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Melinda Buntin, PhD, a professor and chair of the health policy department at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tenn., will be deputy editor.
