Haven wants to expand reach beyond its employees, JPMorgan CEO says

Haven, the healthcare venture formed by Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan Chase, plans to expand its focus beyond improving health for its employees, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon said during a keynote address at a convention in Philadelphia, according to STAT.

"It will take years, but we're hoping to come up with ideas that are going to help the American public get better health and reduce the costs," Mr. Dimon said. "Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos, and I, we got together and started this group with really smart people — Atul Gawande, MD, some of you have probably read his book — to start to attack the problem with big talent and ideas and thoughts."

The keynote dropped the pretense that the new company will only focus on the founding companies' employees, according to STAT.
