Erlanger Foundations board elects new chair, 10 members

Erlanger Health System Foundations, the philanthropic arm of Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Erlanger Health System, appointed Lynda Minks Hood chairwoman of its board of directors for fiscal year 2019, according to a Times Free Press report.

Ms. Minks Hood is executive director of the Chattanooga Bar Association.
The board also added 10 new members:

• Deborah Elwell Arfken, PhD, interim president and CEO, Siskin Children’s Institute in Chattanooga
• Syamal Dave Bhattacharya, MD, pediatric surgeon at University Surgical Associates in Chattanooga
• Hiren Desai, CEO of 3H Group
• Christy Gillenwater, CEO of Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce
• Candy C. Johnson, independent consultant at Johnson Consulting
• Alan E. Kohrt, MD, assistant dean of faculty development at University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga
• Lesslie W. Lee Jr., president and CEO of Lee-Smith and Lesco
• Haresh D. Patel, MD, anesthesiologist at Anesthesiology Consultants Exchange in Chattanooga
• Mark A. Ramsey, attorney at Spears, Moore, Rebman & Williams
• Charles Woods, MD, chairman of the department of pediatrics at University of Tennessee College of Medicine and CMO of Children’s Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga

The board is comprised of volunteers.
