Biden releases 'personal' healthcare ad

Emily Rappleye -

The second television ad of former Vice President Joe Biden's campaign tells the story of his personal experience with healthcare, CNN reports.

The advertisement is called "Personal" and was released in Iowa, according to the report. "The fact of the matter is, healthcare is personal to me," Mr. Biden says in the ad, recalling his relationship with the healthcare system after a car accident that killed his wife and daughter and injured his sons, and his late son Beau's cancer treatment.

"Obamacare is personal to me. When I see the president try to tear it down and others propose to replace it and start over, that's personal to me too," Mr. Biden says in the ad, underscoring his policy platform of preserving the ACA and adding a public option.
