Question: What is the single most important thing you need to do in your role? (Ie: What do you have to be great at?)
Sandy Ewald: I have to be great at identifying and developing other leaders as it is only through an effective Team that we can successfully execute our strategies.
Q: If you acquired $10 million dollars with no strings attached today, how would you invest or spend it?
SE: I don’t imagine you are interested in the retirement home in Paris that I would love. As such, I would spend it on refreshing some of our older clinic infrastructure such as phone systems to modernize and improve patient experience and eliminate risk in event of failure.
Q: There is a lot to improve upon in healthcare. Of the many issues that hold your attention, what is the one you consider exceptionally imperative and urgent?
SE: There is still an incredible amount of waste in healthcare. We must redesign the delivery model to be more cost-effective while at the same time elevating clinical quality.
