Question: What do innovators/entrepreneurs from outside healthcare need to better understand about hospital and health system leaders?

Scott Knoer: We need nimble business partners willing to create and innovate with us and not just sell us a product “out of the box”.

Q: What one strategic initiative will demand the most of your time and energy in 2019?

SK: Creating a product in the PBM or PBA market to take the middle men out of drug therapy and decrease healthcare costs for society.

Q: Healthcare takes a lot of heat for not innovating quickly. What's your take on this?

SK: People that say that haven’t worked at the Cleveland Clinic. We have a very innovative culture and we move quickly to improve patient care.
