5 hospitals cutting jobs

The following hospitals and health systems cut jobs or revealed plans to cut jobs in February:

1. Beaumont Hospital Farmington Hills (Mich.) closed two units, reduced the number of staffed inpatient rehab beds and eliminated or changed 67 jobs as part of a restructuring.

2. Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health is cutting 651 jobs at 13 locations.

3. Point Pleasant, W.Va.-based Pleasant Valley Hospital is ending obstetrics services by the end of February, affecting 53 jobs.

4. Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred Healthcare is closing its long-term care hospital in Rome, Ga., which will result in 78 people losing their jobs.

5. Henderson, Ky.-based Methodist Health cut 21 of its 955 positions.
