41% of healthcare MBAs are funded

Across all industries, just over a third of full-time Master of Business Administration students received at least 75 percent tuition coverage from their employers in 2018, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.

Most of those with tuition benefits (57 percent) came from consulting, finance or the government/military. In a ranking of 15 industries, healthcare was ninth for percent of MBA students who were funded (41 percent) by their employer. Data is based on 1,484 graduates who went back to work for a previous employer after earning their MBA.

Bloomberg also reports that healthcare ranks fifth for hiring the most MBA graduates. Healthcare organizations hired 895 MBA graduates in 2018. Click here to see what schools they went to and their median salaries.
