Saint Francis Hospital Breast Health Center Receives $1.5M Grant

Hartford, Conn.-based Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center has received a $1.5 million grant from the Maximilian E. & Marion O. Hoffman Foundation to benefit the hospital's recently opened Breast Health Center.

"This gift will enhance the breast health services that we offer at the recently opened, state-of-the-art Comprehensive Women's Health Center," said E. Merritt McDonough, Jr., President and Chief Development Officer for the Saint Francis Foundation.

Based in West Hartford, the Maximilian E. and Marion O. Hoffman Foundation Inc., was established in 1982 by Marion O. Hoffman in memory of her husband, Maximilian E. Hoffman, who died in 1981. Mr. Hoffman is known as one of the first distributors of foreign cars in the United States.
