New Children’s Hospital University of Illinois to Open June 13

The University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago will officially open the Children's Hospital University of Illinois on June 13, according to a University of Illinois at Chicago news release.

The 101-bed pediatric hospital within a hospital features ten centers of excellence for pediatric specialty care, including the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center, the Center for Pediatric Lung Research, and the Center for Neonatal and Pediatric Gastrointestinal Diseases.

"The hospital will be true to its commitment to the children of Illinois to provide compassionate, high quality healthcare and be an acclaimed leader in advancing the art and science of medicine,” says Usha Raj, MD, physician-in-chief of Children’s Hospital University of Illinois.
