Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pennsylvania Opens Children's Hospital

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network announced the opening of Children's Hospital at Lehigh Valley Hospital — the only children's hospital in the region.

The hospital is not a new building, but a new name for all of LVHN's pediatric services, according to the release. LVHN offers pediatric care in 28 specialties and has 71 general pediatricians and 81 pediatric specialists on staff. There are 111 beds for inpatient pediatric services, including general pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care and adolescent psychiatry. In addition, LVHN features the only children's emergency department in the region, a pediatric sleep center, a pediatric ambulatory surgery center and an outpatient infusion area.

LVHN welcomes philanthropic partners to help the health system continue to assess and meet the health needs of children.
