UPMC Chautauqua CEO to retire at the end of the year: 5 points

Jamestown, N.Y.-based UPMC Chautauqua President and CEO Betsy Wright is retiring Dec. 31, ending a 35-year career in healthcare, according to The Post-Journal.

Here are five points:

1. Ms. Wright became president and CEO of the hospital 20 years ago.

2. Prior to that, she was the hospital's COO.

3. Two years ago, in her capacity as CEO, she led the integration of the hospital with Pittsburgh-based UPMC.

4. She is also a member of the executive committee of the Healthcare Association of New York State.

5. Brian Durniok, president of UPMC Northwest in Seneca, Pa., will take over as interim president for UPMC Chautauqua.
