Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical Center appointed Georgia Harrington senior vice president of operations and Ella Giles, RN, MSN, vice president for regulatory affairs and compliance.
Here are four notes:
1. Ms. Harrington previously served as vice president of systemwide operations as well as vice president of strategic ventures at WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, N.C.
2. In her previous role, Ms. Harrington oversaw 10 departments with 1,400 employees.
3. Ms. Giles was senior director of regulatory compliance at University of Maryland Medical Center.
4. Ms. Giles joined UMMC in 2006, prior to which she served as assistant director for regulatory affairs at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Hospital.
