Douglas Girod, MD, has been named executive vice chancellor of the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, effective Feb. 1, 2013.
Dr. Girod is currently the medical center's senior associate dean for clinical affairs and the chair of the department of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. He has been with the University of Kansas Medical Center since 1994.
Dr. Girod earned his medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco.
