Slidell Memorial Hospital CEO Bill Davis to depart at year-end: 6 notes

Slidell (La.) Memorial Hospital CEO Bill Davis decided not to renew his contract when it expires at the end of 2018.

Here are six notes:

1. Mr. Davis decided to leave due to "personal family reasons," a hospital statement notes.

2. He has served at the helm of the hospital since 2012. Previously, he was the hospital's CFO and helped lead a financial turnaround.

3. He won numerous awards over the course of his career, including the American Hospital Association's Grassroots Champion for the state of Louisiana in 2014.

4. He also served as chairman of the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce and president of the St. Tammany (Economic) Development District.

5. While serving as CEO, Mr. Davis spearheaded the hospital's partnership with New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System as well as oversaw the development of an expanded emergency department.

6. The Slidell Memorial Hospital Board of Commissioners is engaging with Korn Ferry Associates to conduct a national search for a new CEO.
