Penn State Health taps Rochester Regional Health exec as CFO

Hershey, Pa.-based Penn State Health selected Paula Tinch to serve as senior vice president and CFO, effective June 3.

Ms. Tinch will come to Penn State Health from Rochester (N.Y.) Regional Health, where she is senior vice president of finance. She took on additional responsibilities of a CFO in the last two years. During her tenure as finance leader, Rochester Regional Health started a $260 million renovation project, including a public bond financing.

Prior to working at Rochester Regional Health, she worked at Excellus Health Plan, a payer. While there, she served in several leadership roles, including director of finance.

She is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has served on the board of directors for the organization's Rochester chapter.

Ms. Tinch succeeds Steve Massini, who was promoted to CEO of Penn State Health.
