Parkland Health & Hospital System appoints associate chief talent officer: 4 takeaways

Dallas-based Parkland Health & Hospital System tapped Marnese Barksdale Elder to serve as senior vice president and associate chief talent officer, according to D Healthcare.

Here are four takeaways:

1. Ms. Elder most recently served as president of the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce and as owner and CEO of Mecca Management.

2. Prior to that, she worked at Parkland Health as VP and associate chief talent officer.

3. She initially came to Parkland Health in 2000.

4. Ms. Elder replaces Corey D. Jackson, who was promoted to executive vice president and chief talent officer.
