Orlando Health selects new presidents for 3 hospitals

Orlando (Fla.) Health appointed new presidents at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in Orlando and South Seminole Hospital in Longwood, Fla.

Cary D'Ortona is Arnold Palmer Hospital's new president. He has worked at the hospital since 2004, when he joined as a financial manager. He became CFO of the hospital in 2009.

Kelly Nierstedt, BSN, MSN, was named president of Winnie Palmer Hospital, effective July 9. She comes to Winnie Palmer from Children's Hospital of Illinois in Peoria, where she served as president. She previously served as a staff and charge nurse in labor and delivery at Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center.

South Seminole Hospital's new president is Shawn Molsberger, who most recently served as COO of Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tenn. He will join Orlando Health July 9.

According to a statement from the health system, Mr. D'Ortona and Ms. Nierstedt's roles, "were created to have a more dedicated focus on pediatrics and women's services," following Kathy Swanson's departure as president of both hospitals in January.
