Northeast Health System CEO Kenneth Hanover to Resign

Kenneth Hanover, president and CEO of Northeast Health System in Beverly, Mass., has announced he will resign, effective Nov. 15, according to a report by The Salem News.

Mr. Hanover's resignation comes six months after NHS combined with Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass. According to the report, Mr. Hanover is stepping down in order to give Lahey CEO Howard Grant the chance to create an integrated management structure.

When the two organizations merged, Mr. Hanover retained his position as president and CEO of Northeast Health and also became the executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Lahey Health System. He will continue in the Lahey Health System role until Dec. 31, according to the report.

Denis Conroy, former executive vice president and CFO of Northeast Health, will serve as interim president of NHS until a permanent CEO is named, according to the report.
