NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center selects new physician-in-chief

New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center appointed Anthony Hollenberg, MD, physician-in-chief, effective Feb. 1, 2018. He will also assume the role of chairman at the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Dr. Hollenberg, an endocrinologist by training, currently serves as chief of the division of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism as well as vice chair for mentoring in the department of medicine at Boston-based Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center. Also, he is the director of clinical and translational training programs at Harvard Catalyst, the clinical and translational science center at Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Hollenberg, who has an interest in thyroid disorders, has published more than 80 studies and contributed 25 book chapters and reviews. He is currently associate editor of Endocrinology and a member of the American Thyroid Association, Endocrine Society and American Diabetes Association.
