New London Hospital CEO Bruce King to retire

New London (N.H.) Hospital CEO Bruce King is planning to retire at the end of 2019, according to a Valley News report.

Mr. King has served as the 25-bed critical access hospital's leader since 2003. During his tenure, he led the hospital's formal affiliation with Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system in 2013. He also oversaw efforts to expand services and construction projects, such as a new senior living community in New London.

Mr. King joined Dartmouth-Hitchcock in 1987 and served in several leadership roles there, including vice president of finance and vice president of contracting and network development.

He holds a master's degree in public health from Boston University.
