Nashville (Tenn.) General Hospital named Deann Bullock, MD, its first female CMO, according to The Tennessee Tribune.

Three takeaways:

1. Ms. Bullock has previously served as emergency department medical director at Nashville General Hospital.

2. She was affiliated with Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.C.

3. An emergency medicine physician, she completed her residency at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
