Boston-based Beth Israel Lahey Health appointed Michael Rowan executive vice president for hospital and ambulatory services, effective Aug. 12.
Four points:
1. In in this new role, Mr. Rowman will oversee the hospital and ambulatory care delivery services at 13 hospitals and 40 ambulatory facilities.
2. Mr. Rowman most recently served as president of health system delivery and COO at Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives for 13 years.
3. He has held other leadership positions in healthcare, including executive vice president and COO of Detroit-based St. John Health and president and CEO of Youngstown, Ohio-based Humility of Mary Health Partners.
4. Mr. Rowman has a master's degree in health services administration from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
