Cleveland-based MetroHealth System has named Joe Frolik senior vice president of communications, government and community relations.
Mr. Frolik, who was appointed to the role in September, previously worked at The Plain Dealer for more than three decades. He served as a reporter, columnist, national correspondent and chief editorial writer.
He most recently served as an executive editor of ideastream, leading the public media organization’s news and public affairs efforts. He also led communications and public policy at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.
In his new role, Mr. Frolik will oversee MetroHealth's communications strategy.
