Elizabeth Murphy, RN, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Mercy Health Saint Mary's in Grand Rapids, Mich., is retiring, effective Nov. 5.
Ms. Murphy has worked at Mercy Health Saint Mary's for more than 15 years. During her tenure, she led the hospital earning the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet designation in May 2013 and then re-designation in 2018.
She has served on the boards of several organizations, including the American Heart Association of West Michigan and the West Michigan Nursing Advisory Council. She received the 2017 CNL Visionary Leader Award presented by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
