Le Bonheur Children's Hospital CEO to retire in 2019: 4 takeaways

Memphis, Tenn.-based Le Bonheur Children's Hospital President and CEO Meri Armour is retiring in 2019, according to a Commercial Appeal report.

Here are four takeaways:

1. Ms. Armour assumed the top post at the hospital in 2006.

2. During her tenure, the hospital saw increased funding and recruitment.

3. Prior to her current role, she served as senior vice president and general manager for Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and MacDonald Hospital for Women, both located in Cleveland.

4. Ms. Armour will remain in the role until her successor is chosen. The hospital has created a search committee and engaged executive search firm Witt/Kieffer to aid in CEO selection.
