Kansas system CEO to retire

Harold Courtois, CEO of Abilene, Kan.-based Memorial Health System and affiliate hospital administrator in Abilene, will retire June 30 after 51 years in healthcare, according to a news release the health system shared on Facebook.

Mr. Courtois has helmed Memorial Health System since 2017. He has also held various other leadership positions throughout his career, including CEO of Russell (Kan.) Regional Hospital and CEO of Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney, Kan.

“We are grateful for Harold’s leadership and the lasting impact he has made during his eight years with the organization,” Tony Geiger, president of MHS Board of Directors for Memorial Health System, said in the release. “His vision and dedication have helped shape a culture that will endure for years to come. We wish him the best in his retirement.”
