Island Hospital taps Charles Hall as CEO

Anacortes, Wash.-based Island Hospital has appointed Charles T. Hall CEO, effective Nov. 11.

Mr. Hall most recently served as interim market chief executive for AllianceHealth Oklahoma, based in Oklahoma City. He previously worked at Springdale, Ark.-based Northwest Health as assistant CEO for two facilities, and College Station (Texas) Medical Center, as assistant chief nursing officer.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1994 to 2010, during which time he was a hospital corpsman, nurse and commissioned officer.

He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and American Nurses Association.

Mr. Hall holds an MBA and a master's degree in health systems management from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University. He succeeds Vince Oliver, who retired earlier this year.
