Huntington Hospital taps Dr. Lori Morgan to lead as CEO

Pasadena, Calif.-based Huntington Hospital appointed Lori Morgan, MD, president and CEO, effective in September.

Most recently, Dr. Morgan served as corporate vice president of Portland, Ore.-based Legacy Health and president of Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, also in Portland. Her previous roles include serving as a medical director at Trauma Trust in Tacoma, Wash., and co-director of the surgical ICU at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City.

Dr. Morgan, a trauma surgeon, completed her trauma/critical care fellowship at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia. She earned an MBA degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. She serves on the boards of the Oregon EMS & Trauma Advisory Board, Urban League of Portland and Emanuel Foundation.

Dr. Morgan succeeds Steve Ralph, who announced his plans to retire in May.
