HSHS names Kelly Sager chief nurse of Southern Illinois Division: 3 takeaways

Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System promoted Kelly Sager, RN, to chief nursing executive for the Southern Illinois Division, according to an Effingham Daily News report.

Here are three takeaways:

1. Ms. Sager will oversee nursing operations for the division, which includes:

• HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Ill.
• HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, Ill.
• HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, Ill.
• HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, Ill.

2. She serves as chief nursing officer at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, a role she will continue in addition to her new division-wide position.

3. Ms. Sager holds a master's degree in healthcare administration from Bellevue (Neb.) University.
