Henry Ford Health System selects 1st-ever north market CEO: 6 things to know

Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System named Denise Brooks-Williams senior vice president and CEO of its north market, a newly created role, according to a Crain's Detroit Business report.

Here are six things to know:

1. Ms. Brooks-Williams currently serves as president and CEO of Henry Ford Wyandotte (Mich.) Hospital.

2. She will take on her new role as leader of the six-county north market Jan. 1, 2019.

3. Ms. Brooks-Williams is Henry Ford's third market CEO. Her counterparts are Richard Davis, who is CEO of the south market, and Georgia Fojtasek, who is the central market leader.

4. She has previously served as president and CEO of Battle Creek, Mich.-based Bronson Healthcare.

5. Ms. Brooks-Williams holds a master's degree in health services administration from the Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan.

6. Peter Karadjoff, Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital's senior vice president and COO, will take over as interim leader.
