Healthcare Supply Chain Association names Todd Ebert CEO: 5 things to know

The Healthcare Supply Chain Association in Washington, D.C., has named nationally recognized supply chain leader Todd Ebert president and CEO.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Ebert.

1. Mr. Ebert, a registered pharmacist, began his position July 13. He replaces outgoing HSCA President Curtis Rooney, who resigned and will accept another executive position with the association management company SmithBucklin.

2. In a prepared statement, Mr. Ebert was positive about the new role. "I passionate about the healthcare supply chain and the value that we deliver to providers, Medicare and Medicaid, and taxpayers," he said. "I look forward to continuing to be a strong voice for the supply chain in Washington and to serving as a private-sector partner for policymakers and all supply chain stakeholders."

3. Mr. Ebert joins HSCA from Amerinet, a national healthcare solutions organization, where he has served as president and CEO since 2007. Prior to serving as president and CEO, he served in other leadership positions, including vice president of Amerinet's pharmacy program, president of Amerinet's private-label company and president and COO of Amerinet. Mr. Ebert joined Amerinet from Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare.

4. Mr. Ebert has provided pharmaceutical consulting to foreign governments and international healthcare providers.

5. Mr. Ebert is a former chairman of HSCA and is the immediate past chairman of the Healthcare Industry Supply Chain Institute.
