Bill Kottman, president and CEO of Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill., is retiring, effective Sept. 30, according to a Daily Herald report.
Mr. Kottman assumed the top post at Edward Hospital in 2016. During his tenure, the hospital grew its network of off-site services, such as physician offices and walk-in clinics, and grew key service lines, Mary Lou Mastro, CEO of Edward-Elmhurst Health said in a news release obtained by the Daily Herald. Naperville, Ill.-based Edward-Elmhurst Health is the parent of Edward Hospital.
Mr. Kottman has worked for the organization for 28 years and has served in several leadership roles.
Joe Dant, Edward-Elmhurst Health's executive vice president of the physician and ambulatory network, will succeed Mr. Kottman as president and CEO of Edward Hospital, effective Oct. 1.
Mr. Dant, who joined Edward-Elmhurst Health in 2017, has previously worked at Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine and the former KishHealth System in DeKalb, Ill. He is a U.S. Navy veteran and holds an MBA from Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill.
