Dr. Tim Appenheimer Appointed VP, Chief Medical Officer at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital

Tim Appenheimer, MD, has been promoted to vice president and chief medical officer of Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon Ill., effective July 3, according to a hospital news release.

According to KSB Hospital President and CEO Dave Schreiner, Dr. Appenheimer's promotion was done to address the growing focus on improving quality and patient safety across the country. Dr. Appenheimer, who is a family medicine physician at the hospital, will now oversee the quality and medical staff services department, the safety department, the infection control department, the family medicine residency program, home care and hospice and the hospital medicine program.
