Dr. Myles Pensak named UC Health’s first chief of physician services

University of Cincinnati Health appointed Myles Pensak, MD, to the newly created chief of physician services position, according to the Cincinnati Business Courier. He will also maintain his role as president of UC Physicians, the 800-physician group of the UC College of Medicine, which he has led since 2003.

The new role puts Dr. Pensak in charge of recruiting, supporting and retaining physicians. He will also ensure the school and health system goals are aligned.

Dr. Pensak is a board-certified otolaryngologist, with subspecialty certification in neurotology. He serves as senior associate dean of the UC College of Medicine and professor and chair of the Department of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Pensak comes to the new position from his previous role as senior vice president for ambulatory services at UC Health. He has also served 10 years as the director of the division of otology/neurotology and skull bade surgery and more than five years as the director of the residency training program for otolaryngology at UC.

He previously taught otolaryngology at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and Yale University School of Medicine.
