Irving, Texas-based Christus Health established a dyad leadership model at Corpus Christi, Texas-based Christus Spohn Health System, following the departure of its CEO Justin Doss.

"[Mr. Doss] was instrumental in positioning Spohn to face the future from a place of strength," said Jeff Puckett, Christus Health's executive vice president and COO. "We are thankful for his leadership during this period and the great work he did on behalf of our ministry during this time of transformation."

The new dyad model, which pairs an administrative leader with a clinical leader, will include Dominic Dominguez, serving as senior vice president of South Texas health ministries and CEO of Christus Spohn, and Osbert Blow, MD, who will serve as president and CMO of Christus Spohn. Steven E. King will serve as Christus Spohn's new COO, in addition to his current role as CFO.

Mr. Dominguez currently oversees San Antonio-based Christus Santa Rosa Health System. He took over on an interim basis following the resignation of Ken Haynes. Mr. Dominguez also serves as senior vice president of CHRISTUS Spohn — a role he took over in 2016 when Patrick Carrier vacated the role to serve as CEO of CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Sante Fe, N.M. While he will continue to have oversight responsibilities for Christus Santa Rosa, he will move to Corpus Christi to dedicate a majority of his time to Christus Spohn.

Dr. Blow has served as CMO of Christus Spohn since 2015. He joined the health system in 2006 as trauma medical director.

Mr. King became Christus Spohn's CFO in 2016. He has prior experience in financial operations for a several healthcare companies and consulting firms.
