CHI St. Luke's Health names president for The Vintage Hospital: 5 things to know

CHI St. Luke's Health has named Roland Cruickshank president of The Vintage Hospital in Houston, effective Sept. 12.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Cruickshank.

1. He will replace current president, Norman Stephens, who plans to retire Sept. 2.

2. Mr. Cruickshank most recently served as vice president of operations at Houston Methodist Texas Medical Center.

3. During his tenure at Houston Methodist, Mr. Cruickshank helped enhance the hospital's service line offerings and led planning and development efforts on several multimillion dollar capital expansions, according to CHI St. Luke's Health.

4. His other previous healthcare experience includes market COO of Catholic Healthcare Partners' Mercy Hospital where he led 17 departments and 500 employees at two hospital campuses in Cincinnati; COO of Phoenixville (Pa.) Hospital, part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems; and COO of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare's South Fulton Medical Center in Atlanta.

5. Mr. Cruickshank earned a MHA from Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina, a MPA from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and a bachelor's degree from College of Charleston in South Carolina.
