CEO resigns from St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis

Michael Rindler has resigned and will immediately retire from his role as CEO St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.

Mr. Rindler has served as St. Anthony's CEO since last summer. He succeeded James Gardner Jr., who resigned in May 2013. Previously, Mr. Rindler worked as a consultant for St. Anthony's for about a year.

St. Anthony's is one of the last remaining independent hospitals in the region, according to the report.
