Loveland, Ohio-based Carespring Health Care Management CEO Barry N. Bortz passed away at the Cleveland Clinic, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report. He was 66 years old.
The cause of death has not yet been disclosed, but according to a Facebok posting, Mr. Bortz received a lung transplant at the Cleveland Clinic in June.
Carespring Health Care Management is an operator of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Mr. Bortz established Carespring in 1997, which now has 11 facilities in northern Kentucky and southwest Ohio. A new facility is set to open in 2017. He also created Carespring Construction, which built Carespring's facilities.
A successor for the nursing home operator has not yet been named, according to the report.
