Beaumont Health restructures leadership as 3 executives depart

Royal Oak, Mich.-based Beaumont Health is restructuring its leadership team, announcing six executive appointments and three departures, effective Feb. 1.

The three executives leaving Beaumont Health are:

Rick Swaine, president of Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe (Mich.), is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
Rosanna Morris, RN, president of Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, is stepping down for a leadership role at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Eric Widner, president of Beaumont Hospital, Wayne (Mich.), is departing to pursue other opportunities.

Beaumont Health made the following leadership appointments:

Nancy Susick, RN, president of Beaumont Hospital, Troy (Mich.), will become president of Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak.
David Claeys, president of Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn (Mich.), will become president of the Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills (Mich.) campus as well..
Christine Stesney-Ridenour, president of Beaumont Hospital, Trenton (Mich.), will expand her responsibilities and become president of Beaumont Hospital, Taylor (Mich.) and the Wayne hospital campus.
James Lynch, MD, senior vice president and CMO of Beaumont Hospital, Troy, will serve as interim president for the Troy and Grosse Pointe hospital campuses.
Connie O'Malley, RN, president of Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills, will become president of outpatient services for the health system.
Lee Ann Odom, president of Beaumont Hospital, Taylor, will serve as president of shared services at Beaumont.

"Patients are gradually choosing more outpatient-based services, rather than inpatient hospital settings," said Beaumont Health CEO John Fox. "We must create more access for our patients through a network of acute care campuses, outpatient and retail sites and joint ventures and partnerships. This restructuring helps ensure our future success in the ever-changing world of healthcare."
