Atlantic Health System taps American Well VP as chief innovation officer: 5 things to know

Morristown, N.J.-based Atlantic Health System named Sylvia Romm, MD, chief innovation officer.

Five things to know:

1. Dr. Romm most recently served as vice president of clinical transformation at American Well, a telemedicine company.

2. She founded MilkOnTap, a telehealth company focused on the needs of nursing mothers and lactation support.

3. A pediatrician, she has practiced medicine for nearly 10 years.

4. In addition to her medical training, Dr. Romm holds master's degree in public health from Boston-based Harvard University.

5 At Atlantic Health System, she will forge relationships with local and national innovation partners, further the system's research profile and explore ways to improve access to care.
