Becky Hultberg, president and CEO of the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association, is resigning for a leadership role with another association.

Ms. Hultberg has been named as the next CEO of the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems. She will begin her new role in December.

Ms. Hultberg led the Alaska hospital association, which represents more than 65 hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare organizations, for five years.

"During her tenure, the organization strengthened its work in the areas of patient safety and behavioral health, improved its financial position, expanded services to members and served as a strong voice for healthcare access and quality in Alaska," said Chuck Bill, board chair of the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association.

Previously, Ms. Hultberg was commissioner of the state of Alaska's department of administration. She currently serves on the American Hospital Association's board of trustees.

The association has started the search for Ms. Hultberg's replacement.
