9 latest hospital, health system executive retirements

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive retirements in the last four weeks.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Gary Bebow, CEO of White River Health System in Batesville, Ark., is retiring Dec. 31, after 27 years at the helm of the organization.

2. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare CEO R. Milton Johnson is retiring effective Dec. 31.

3. York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health President and CEO Kevin H. Mosser, MD, plans to retire at the end of 2018.

4. Steve Mulder, MD, president and CEO of Hutchinson (Minn.) Health, plans to retire in April 2019.

5. Randall L. O'Donnell, PhD, president and CEO of Children's Mercy Kansas City (Mo.), is retiring sooner than expected, stating that he has been "having some health challenges."

6. Gene O'Hara, PharmD, CEO of Colorado Plains Medical Center in Ft. Morgan, is retiring.

7. Lompoc (Calif.) Valley Medical Center CEO Jim Raggio is retiring, ending a 20-year tenure as hospital leader.

8. David Schertz, regional CEO with Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare, is retiring Aug. 31.

9. Art Ushijima, president and CEO of The Queen's Health Systems in Honolulu, Hawaii, will retire in January 2020.
