9 latest hospital, health system executive retirements

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive retirements in the last three weeks. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Toby Cosgrove, MD, president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic, revealed plans to transition out of his executive roles later this year.

2. Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Health President and CEO Jim Nathan is retiring, after serving as leader of the health system for close to 36 years

3. Fairmont (W. Va.) Regional Medical Center CEO and CNO Margaret Coster, MSN, RN, is retiring, effective April 30.

4. Hopewell, Va.-based John Randolph Medical Center CEO Suzanne Jackson is leaving her post.

5. Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center Regional President and CEO Dave Kapaska, DO, is retiring, effective June 30.

6. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health Interim President and CEO Kevin Fusco is retiring, once again leaving the troubled health system without a leader.

7. C.R. "Bob" Hudson, senior vice president and CFO of Valencia, Calif.-based Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, will retire from his post in July.

8. Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding, Calif., announced the retirement of CEO Cyndy Gordon.

9. Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Health System's Randall Linton, MD, president and CEO of its northwest Wisconsin region, is around two weeks away from retiring.
