9 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, Fla., appointed Daniel Bender permanent CEO.

2. Cambridge-based Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center President and CEO Ray Chorey retired.

3. Albia, Iowa-based Monroe County Hospital and Clinics CEO Veronica Fuhs will serve as chief executive of Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa, as well, the board of trustees of both facilities decided.

4. Cleveland-based Sisters of Charity Health System appointed Paul C. Hiltz permanent president and CEO of Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.

5. Salem, Va.-based LewisGale Regional Health System tapped Lance Jones to serve as CEO and market president, effective Dec. 1.

6. Pinehurst, N.C.-based FirstHealth of the Carolinas CEO David Kilarski is planning to retire at the end of July 2019.

7. Snoqualmie (Wash.) Valley Hospital CEO Tom Parker is resigning, effective Nov. 24.

8. Jeremy Riney, CEO of Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville, Texas, plans to resign Oct. 26.

9. Dodge City, Kan.-based Western Plains Medical Complex appointed Scott Smith permanent CEO.
