8 latest hospital CNO, CMO moves

The following eight hospital and health system CNO and CMO moves were covered by Becker's Hospital Review in the last three weeks, starting with the most recent.

1. St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell, N.Y., named Raymond J. Mayewski, MD, as interim CMO and medical director, succeeding John Carroll, MD, who stepped down May 31.

2. James W. Morris II, MD, will become CMO of University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tenn., effective Aug. 3.

3. Cape Regional Health System in Cape May Court House, N.J., appointed Andrea McCoy, MD, as CMO.

4. Henry Ford West Bloomfield (Mich.) Hospital promoted Karen Harris, RN, to chief nursing and operations executive.

5. Star Medical Center, a surgical hospital in Plano, Texas, named Amy Brinkley CNO.

6. Green Bay, Wis.-based Prevea Health added Laura Nelson, MD, to the organization as vice president and CMO-Northern Division.

7. Chad Couch, MD, was named CMO of Bristol (Tenn.) Regional Medical Center.

8. Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, N.C., appointed David Ellis, MD, as permanent CMO. He had been serving as interim CMO of the hospital since November 2014.
