7 latest hospital, health system executive retirements

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive retirements in the last four weeks. They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Alexandria Bay, N.Y.-based River Hospital CEO Ben Moore plans to retire in October.

2. Arthur Evans, administrator/CEO of Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis, Ala., is retiring June 30.

3. Nantucket (Mass.) Cottage Hospital President and CEO Margot Hartmann, MD, PhD, is retiring, effective in the summer of 2019.

4. Joe Kruse, vice chair of administration at La Crosse, Wis.-based Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare, plans to retire by the end of the year.

5. Stephens Mundy, president and CEO of Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, N.Y., and Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, N.Y., is retiring at the end of June.

6. Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic President and CEO John Noseworthy, MD, will retire at the end of 2018, ending a nine-year tenure.

7. Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health CFO Jack Wagner retired March 2.
