4 execs depart from Louisiana hospital

Alyssa Rege -

Baton Rouge, La.-based Woman's Hospital will undergo a leadership restructuring as four executives, including CEO Teri Fontenot, depart, according to the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report.

While Ms. Fontenot announced plans in February to retire this summer, a spokesperson for the hospital confirmed to the publication that the institution is losing its chief nursing officer, CFO and chief philanthropy officer.

"It is unusual for Woman's to have multiple leadership changes at the same time since leadership stability is one of our hallmarks. Our current transitions are a combination of natural retirements and career decisions," the spokesperson said.

The hospital's board of directors has hired national executive recruiting firm Korn Ferry to help select its next CEO. Ms. Fontenot will not assist with the search, but will stay with the organization during the transition process.

The spokesperson also said Woman's is working to develop a succession plan to help fill the other executive roles.
